Stimulus bonus checks is coming: Hundreds of dollars could hit Georgia taxpayers' bank account.

Stimulus bonus checks worth up to $500 could hit Georgia state taxpayers' bank accounts (only eligible ones) as per the new bill.

Governor Brian P. Kemp believed that giving hundreds of dollars to hardworking Georgians' bank accounts helped them fight against surging inflation.

Therefore, Governor Brian P. Kemp signed House Bill 1302 (HB 1302) to distribute the over 1 billion dollars in surplus funds back to hardworking residents through a one-time tax credit for those residents who filed income tax returns for the 2020 and 2021 taxable years.

As per the Georgia state government mentioned on their website that the one-time tax credit after the eligible resident files a tax return for 2021.

Georgia state taxpayers could get the bonus of $250 for single filers or married but filed separately, but if you are head of household then the bonus increases up to $375 and $500 for married filing jointly.
